Go Frogs!!

We took the kids to "Meet the Frogs" at TCU and they had so much fun. They got their faces painted, slid down slides, went through the obstacle course and got to see Super Frog. Gavin is obsessed with Super Frog. After we took the picture with him he said, "Wait, I didn't tickle Super Frog" He was really concerned. I guess that was his plan all along and he forgot. Random....

They both had their horns up ready for a picture and the band started playing and they both turned around in the exact same position. Pretty funny!

First day of school

The kids had their first day at their new school. They were both so excited and they loved their new friends and teachers which makes me very happy. I think they are in a very good place.

Wow!

Ok, I am terrible. It has been way too long since I have posted anything on here. Quick synopsis of what has been going on with the Greathouse family.....we moved into our house the first of June and are really loving the area and being near everything and everyone. About a month after we moved we found out we are expecting baby #3. We are still pretty shocked and can't believe we will be adding another little Greathouse to this already crazy family. I am due February 24 and we will find out in about a month if it's a boy or girl. We have had a fantastic summer and I can't believe it's almost September but I think we are all ready for some cooler weather. We took a trip to Port Aransas with our Supper Club group and all our kiddos and had a great time. The kids have been asking about the beach ever since we came home. We went to Sea World first to split the trip up, they loved it.

Steven is once again looking for a job. His current position will probably end at the end of Sept but he can extend it if he wants for a few months so he is taking his time trying to find something else. The kids have both started taking gymnastics and Audrey is going to start taking dance classes next week. So cute!!! They are also going to start their new school and I am so excited for that. I am going to continue working a couple of days a week while they are in school but after #3 gets here I'm not sure what we will do.

Well that is a short version of what has been happening. Here are a few pictures. I don't have many b/c I dropped my camera in the stinkin ocean and it obviously no longer works. Whooops!

I will try and get on here and post more often. I got in trouble from Papaw that I needed to put some new stuff up here so I better listen.

The Big Move

We are about to make a huge transition in the Greathouse world. We are moving back to Fort Worth in 3 weeks. Steven and I are so excited we can't stand it. Steven's job will eventually be moving to Dallas so we thought we should move a little closer so he can have a shorter commute. But in all actuality it will only be saving him about 10 minutes. But we don't really care at this point, we are ready to be back in the city. We sold our house a few weeks ago and then something fell through with the buyers so they backed out. So we are back at square one trying to sell our house. We are still going through with our new house near TCU but we will have to have 2 houses for awhile until we sell the Aledo house. Hopefully it will sell fast.
Gavin thinks he is an explorer most of the time hence the Diego pajamas and accessories. Audrey is his sidekick.

Papaw and his grandbabies. Miss Audrey just couldn't get close enough to him that night. She is all about her Papaw and he gets lots of love from her when he comes over.

Day at the Farm

We had a mini family reunion at my cousin Brett and Nancy's house. They live in Grandview and have cows, horses, a donkey, goats, 6 dogs and a lake to fish on. What fun!!! The kids had a blast! We even went on a hay ride and went to see some old airplanes.

My cousin Matt is a photographer and took lots of great shots. Here are a few. These pictures make mine look so boring.

Easter at the Grandparents

First of all, let me explain the black eye. After the zoo on Friday, the kids stayed at Mama Lizz's so we could go to Jessica's birthday dinner. When we got back the kids were wired tired and crazy. Gavin was upstairs, not paying attention and took a tumble. His eye immediately bruised. Poor guy...I'm sure it will be the first of many.
Another Easter Egg Hunt, this time at the Grandparents. We had a delicious lunch with Grandma, Grandpa, Patrick, Papaw, the kids and Bob's cousin was in town as well. The kids are pretty rotten and got another load of candy and goodies that I in turn have been eating on all week. AHHAA!!
(Pictures are totally out of order, ooops!)

Good Friday Zoo Trip

We decided to go to the zoo on Good Friday during Spring Break along with the other 17,000 people. We went with Mama Lizz and her clan. Kevin, Lizz's beau, and all of his kids (he has five) along with their better halves and kids. It was a lot of fun and the kids were worn out. Gavin's favorite part of the entire zoo were the reptiles. I couldn't believe it, he loved the snakes and lizards. When we told him we were going he said he was scared of the snakes and we reassured him that they would be in cages and wouldn't be able to get him. He acted very scared about it. As soon as we got there he wanted to go see the snakes..."When are we going to see the snakes?" He asked about every 5 minutes. I didn't think we were going to get him out of there once we did get there. It was pretty hysterical!! All in all a great time. They both fell asleep in the stroller on the way out. Success!!!!

Slovak Easter Egg Hunt

Steven's side of the family has Easter the weekend before so we had our Easter this past weekend. What a turnout! Someone said they counted 22 kids. They ordered 25 large pizzas and there were bags upon bags of candy filled Easter eggs. Audrey wore her bunny costume and I just realized that I didn't take any pictures of her in it before she wanted to take it off. Bad mom! They came home with a full grocery bag of eggs and candy. The kids had a blast, as did the parents. We look forward to another fun filled Easter this weekend with another hunt for the kids. Happy Easter!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

A friend of mine from work had a St. Patrick's Day party that was filled with a parade, green beer, green cotton candy, green tree painting, green jello shots (kids and adults), etc. The kids had so much fun and did not want to leave when the time came. I hope we can go next year too!!
